There are many rules and guidelines that students must follow, and each professor has a list of his or her own rules that must be followed within their classrooms, but here you will find the most important rules that students must follow on a daily basis.
1. School uniforms must be worn during classes. Students are only allowed to dress down after classes for the day have come to an end or on weekends.
2. All students must have the proper supplies and books with them when they are attending class. This includes: wand, ink, quills, parchment, books, and any other supplies deemed necessary for the class that the student is attending.
3. No food, candy, or gum in class.
4. Students must be in their designated house areas by 8 PM on weeknights and by 10 PM on weekends. They must remain there until morning. (Students who are enrolled in classes that are taken in the Observatory must have passes issued by the professor teaching said class.)
5. Students are not allowed in the restricted section of the library without written consent from a professor.
6. Students are not allowed to possess their own brooms until they are licensed broom handlers.
7. Wands must be kept at school during home visits until the student is of age to carry a wand permit.
8. Students are not permitted off of school grounds. Students 14 years or older can visit the town of Waabanowin Valley with parental or guardian permission on weekends.
9. No fighting or bickering.
10. Treat your professors with respect.
11. Turn homework in on time.
12. Students are responsible for their own familiars (pets), and must care for them properly.
