Sorting Ceremony

If you are creating a student, it does not matter what age they are, they still need to be sorted. That is why it is important to include as much information about your character as you possibly can. If you have an older student, you must provide a thorough background story about their previous years at Ilvermorny.

*The sorting ritual consists of new students filing into the round entrance room that contains nothing more that four statues that represent the four houses: Horned Serpent, Thunderbird, Pukwudgie, and Wampus.
To be selected, a student must go to the center of the room where a great Gordian Knot is set into the floor. They must stand upon the Knot. Once a house is decided upon, the statues respond.
*If the Horned Serpent wants the student, the crystal set into its forehead will light up.
*If the Wampus wants the student, it roars.
*If Thunderbird desires the student, it signifies its approval by beating its wings.
*If Pukwudgie wants the student, it will raise its arrow into the air.
*If the student is presented with more than one house, he or she can choose which house they wish to be be in.

When your character is ready to be sorted, you will be alerted. You must look here for a thread that is titled with your character's name. You will find an image with the corresponding mascot of your house!
