Sorting Ceremony If you are creating a student, it does not matter what age they are, they still need to be sorted. That is why it is important to include as much information about your character as you possibly can. If you have an older student, you must provide a thorough background story about their previous years at Ilvermorny.

Casper's Cove Located near Lake Ontario, it appears to no-maj folks as nothing more than a treacherous mountain range. Casper's Cove is actually located inside a mountain. The main access point is through a large mouth that opens at, you guessed it, a cove by the lake. This opening to not visible or accessible to anyone who is not magical. It is also magically protected against flooding. Even though it is located inside a mountain, the whole town is enchanted so that once inside, the mountain disappears.

Salem's Remembrance This is a small, coastal wizarding town located within Salem, Massachusettes. It often acts as one of the gateways to Ilvermorny for students. It is protected by heavy magic and an enchanted wood that keeps no-maj people at bay. The woods that surround it are believed by non-magical people to be cursed, and the wizards that live there prefer it to remain that way. But Salem's Remembrance is a quiet little wizarding village with quaint homes and a small apothecary. Most of the families that dwell there are descendants of those who were involved in the Salem Witch Hunts. Witches and wizards that were able to escape prosecution founded Salem's Remembrance as a sanctuary from the vengeful no-majes and Scourers of the time. It is named in honor of the innocent witches and wizards that were killed during the Salem Witch Hunts. |
